Quote: The reactions you received above were based on your words and attitude in asking for "help" from the board "...complaining my *** off and thretening to break the deal." This is after your self-admitted mistake in not asking for the no-drill during close of the deal.
Exactly...I'm sure everybody who replied could care less what happens in the end...but the fact that you come in here ranting and raving and saying you were gonna complain your *** off, break the deal, and say f this and walk when it was YOUR fault in the 1st place is what makes you immature and a cry baby.

If you came in and asked for suggestions of how to go about asking for help from the dealer...without the pissing and moaning...you would have received much different responses from the board.

Take it how you will...

It probably wasn't your fault though.

The other dealership probably puts the front plates on all their cars.

I feel for you, but you already signed the papers, so I guess you can't do much?

I haven't read through all the posts, but if you haven't DRIVEN off the lot in the car (no matter how many places you've put your signature, or even if you've given them a bag of cash), the deal is NOT final until you drive off the lot.

It doesn't matter that they got the car from another dealer, etc.

With that being said, force them to fix it before you drive off in it.

I assume since the thread started a few days ago this option is probably moot, but hopefully it'll help someone in the future.

Good luck.

I respectfully disagree and suggest the converse...a nice kid with a car will not attract criticism. The issue here was his style and tone, not his age. At whatever stage of life, I would find his initial attitude and approach highly objectionable. You may note, he, himself, described his writing as a temper tantrum. Most of us seem to agree on that score, and that is the basis of the poor reaction he received. Considerate and courteous adults, of all ages, seem to be well-received here, which is what you likely have experienced.

it has nothing to do with his age...if an 80yr old guy came on here throwing the same temper tantrum he would've gotten the same response...at least from me

Like the other kid (c300kid that is!) said, post up pics of the car already Impaler so we can see the pristine bumper!
(then we can all move on; heck, start a "New Member" thread)

You mention you're in Mass but your profile doesn't say whereabouts: what dealer was this? ...oh, and getting away with no front plate in five years of driving around is pretty impressive, especially given that you were a teenager for most of them, but how have you been able to get inspection stickers? I didn't want to put the mangled plate off my totaled C-Class on my new (to me) CLK, but I couldn't get a sticker until I produced the registry form indicating that I had ordered a new plate....PS my CLK, originally from CT, came already drilled, and even though I knew I was gonna put a plate on it, it still sukt to see those holes when I bought it!
