Sorry, couldn't find the answer in a forum search. I know it's been answered before, but I couldn't find the answer. Can someone please re-answer my dumb question?

Yes. Federal law specifically allows this. You will keep accurate records of what you have done, of course.

Oil changes, brake pads etc. Even trans fluid changes if you want to go this far. And those of us with 2008s are coming up on a brake fluid change. In three weeks, mine will be two years in my garage.

You can even do them yourself but as mentioned keep the receipts and a written record of what was done and when.
