I've read a review on it in the local press - they had it on a personal car for about a year or so and loved it. Apparently must be put on when glass is brand new.

Had I known about it when I took delivery I would have sprung for it and will on my next new windshield.

We have lots of pebbles and rock shards from winter road care that are brutal if you're on the free way so they gave it a pretty good test. Currently I avoid freeways and don't really drive much anyway.

I'm worried about clarity and distortion. Also the haze and yellowing over time, especially caused by the wipers.

When the clear bra is first installed you will see some bubbles and haze which will disappear in a week or two, I can't imagine seeing through this for that time.

fyi....i spoke to someone over at ventureshield that supplies the protective film for lamin x. i was told that they have never heard of using the film for an auto windshield and did not recommend in applying the film for any car. i was really surprised when i heard the comment, especially when lamin x is selling the film like its ok to use where in fact is not.

Good thing mbc300 pointed this out. I was thinking of a product specifically for windshield....like clearplex though I'm not sure that's the review I read.

Never heard about the windshied, I can only imagine what type of heat the windshield will take, but it doesnt make any sence to put another of layers of vinyl on it when especially during winter season when the wipers are used. Also, another about lamin-x headlight tint, there were many proven cases that their tint create the top of the headlight to have mini cracks because of the heat.
