What's your next car?

My lease is up in less than a year so I am starting to look for a new one. I am hoping to buy my first condo, and eventually get married and start a family, so I am probably looking at a small luxury SUV. If my future wife doesn't mind a minivan I'd get a fast little sports car for myself. But where I am, I'd be lucky to get a single parking spot with a condo, so most likely something like a GLK, Audi Q5, BMW X5, Acura MDX, or if I want to save money, something boring like a Toyota Highlander (ugh). If I decided to stay single, it's be an M3 or a Nissan GTR or even a 2011 Mustang GT (400 horses for cheap!!). My cowoker has a Cayman and I didn't like the interior at all so that's out. Took a look at the new E Class the other day and was mighty impressed. I'd drive one if I was in my 40's. I basically want about 400 horses, heated and cooled seats, rear or all wheel drive, memory seats, folding mirror for parking, and bluetooth. No cooled seats in the M3, GTR, or the mustang neither. Sucks. My C350 doesn't have memory seats, folding parking mirror, cooled seats, or a rearview camera and I really wish I had those. And about 100 more horese would be nice too. Man I should stay single!! Wife and baby are just so expensive, and one talks back and the other poops back. And there's no warning indicator to warn me of impending doom or a key to turn it off. More reasons why my C350 is preferable to a wife or a baby.

Do you have a GF? You are thinking a bit far ahead with that marriage and family thing.

Nah, I am old enough to get married. Besides, all joking aside I do want to have my own family. Just gotta find a girl willing to have my baby, ha ha. Cars are so much easier to pick.

Have you considered a BMW M5? Unless I misread something I think that car would suit your needs, as would an E63 AMG (and I don't think that the current one is worthy to be labeled a car for 40 year olds).

If Audi bring over the RS6 Avant, that would be an excellent family car and you'd have abundant power too.

BMW M5/ M5 Wagon
MB E63/ E63 Wagon
BMW X6
Volkswagen R20 (270hp, but in a lighter hatchback package for practicality)
Audi RS6 (provided it comes to the US)
Audi RS4/Avant (New B8 platform is bigger, and if you are looking for more power than the C350 then the S4 also has 330hp and its available now)
Ford Focus RS (2012 model, so you'd have to wait somehow unfortunately)

And...i'm out of ideas right now haha

Check out the new Jags. Slightly used used Aston Martin or Maserati - can probably get killer deals on both with ultra low milage?

If family (in order of preference)
1. Subaru Forester XT Limited
I know EJ25 and EJ20 engines like the back of my head. Great car to haul family, safe, and ridiculously mod friendly. It's also inexpensive so that clears the way for me having a fun car.

2. E63 AMG
I don't even need to explain. CPO 08 models to the new W212 would be fine.

3. Porsche Cayenne S
No matter how much I don't like the idea of Porsche making an SUV. I'd like to get one. I don't know how to explain it.

4. Audi Q5
LOVE the looks.

No family
1. Porsche 911 Carrera S
I don't even need to explain this. I dont' mind a CPO 911 Turbo too.

2. Facelifted C63 AMG
Whenever it comes out!

3. Smart TwoFour
Just because I can.

There are some amazing deals on lightly used Astons and Maseratis these days. Now may be the time to pick up that little sports car before you start the family.

Eh I am not really a Maserati or Aston kind of guy. I forgot about the Forester though, I actually like that car. I wish it came with at least a 5 speed auto transmission though instead of four.

I am going to be either selling my hybrid or giving it to my gf after I propose (whenever that maybe), but my next car will be either an 06 or 07 E63 or 07-09 CLS.

I think my next car will likely be the new E coupe. GF and I aren't ready for kids for at least 4 years.

I drive to NYC everday from upstate... at times, i regret buying the c350 b/c its too nice of a car to have in the city.. Scratches, dents, bird ****, rock chips..you name it, i got it. Plus my car is black too so that does not help out.

My next car would be something more practical. maybe, a honda civic or vw rabbit so i don't have to deal with the stress every time i park in the city. anyone have the same feelings as i do??

For the wifey... a Range Rover sport.

For me...

It all depends on how my C holds up and how much like it. It will be either an older F430, Lotus Exige, TTS/RS, or R8 v10.

In our dreams or reality... not to knock you guys but I doubt you will make the jump from a C class to an R8, Ferrari, or Range Rover.

That being said I'd like a RR Sport or G wagon... but I'm cheap... don't ever want to over extend myself!

So most likley lease a RR Sport or buy a used CPO SUV.

LOL. So one can not go from a C class to a USED R8 or USED Ferrari? Both of which are well under 100k.

And the Range Rover sport for my wife.. please. Dont make comments about "doubting" or "dreaming" unless you know someones finances. You don't know me, what I do, or what I have in the bank.
