Figured OEM Oil Filter was the way to go.

So just wanted to make sure the x didn't change anything. Am I correct in believing that the Mann HU 718/5 x is the right oil filter for the 2008 C350.

Thanks for your help oh learned forums.

um, i figure you're buying other things there, but i have gotten things from getmercedesparts.com (I think they are a maryland dealer).

You should be able to find the filter on there. Don't know shipping, but think filter is about $11 and it would come in a mercedes box or bag probably.

Just the heads up MB are known to void warranty if OEM filter are not being used.

Neo, for me, I'm having servicing done at Mercedes while under warranty. Makes me feel better.

If I did do service myself, I think I'd at least buy the filter from a Mercedes dealership, to have a solid receipt for it. Again, only my opinion.

the getmercedesparts does give an official receipt from the dealership somewhere in maryland every time I ordered at least.

I've had great luck with this company.

Mann is the OEM brand for air and oil filters.

yes that is the correct filter, yes it is exactly the same as OEM. MANN is the OEM supplier of these filters to MB.
