Turning Off No Seat Belt Alert
Anyone know if there is a way to turn off the beeping sound (progressively louder and more rapid) that the car makes when you don't have a seat belt on?
I know it's a safety thing, and not asking for myself...got a couple of stubborn passengers that refuse to wear seat belts when in my car...no skin off my nose, I just hate having to listen to the beeping. Thanks!

i have the problem where i like to start the car and then put on my seatbelt, a habbit really. other cars give you a nice ding or bong, but the C gives a high pitched ding which is really annoying

You can say it or you can demonstrate it.
I have a scar on my forehead from smashing into the windshield in a dune buggy that had no seatbelts. Ouch. And the forehead is one of those places where they don't use pain killer when they stitch you up.
Further, I rolled a car sideways, six-times over. Seatbelt kept me in place and safe.
You never know when you're going to need to be safe. Always buckle up.

I'm not enough of a **** to tell people to get out of my car
People can do whatever they want to do, I'm not trying to be their mother and tell them how to live (or die). I just asked a simple question so that I don't have to deal with the beeping.
I know people should buckle up, and I do every time. But quite frankly I don't really care if my passengers are splattered against my windshield, their fault.
Thanks for the unhelpful responses. Mods please close thread.

It could be a lot of skin off your nose. It's a safety thing AND an economic thing. Their injuries in an accident will most likely be significant. Guess whose insurance will get the liability claim? And, if you happen to be found at fault in the accident, and a fatality is involved, I hope you don't have any assets in your name, like a house or savings account. Their not-so-sympathetic relatives will own you. I suggest you follow a policy I started long ago at our place....wear the belts or don't get in the car. If one of them gets killed, you will kick yourself forever for not having had the courage to stand up to them, particularly if they were anyone you cared about at all.

It can be disabled in star... I want mine disabled because I cant stand the beeping when you first start the engine. The beeping that occurs later on if you don't put the belt on is fine with me.
