Lower Grill
I was washing my car yesterday and I noticed that my lower grill ( between the fog lights ) is cracked. I searched the forum and it looks like the only option is to buy a new one from the dealer and pay for a couple of hours of labor to have the bumper removed in order to replace the grill, with no guarentee that this flimsy piece of plastic won't get broken again since currently there is no sturdier aftermarket solution available. I just wanted to confirm since the last post on this was back in June.
Thanks,
Nick

Lorinser has a metal version, but it's hard to find and costs $500 (not that bad when you consider it's the cost of two flimsy OEM ones).
Asanti also has a kit, but it also includes the upper grill. It's all chrome and looks too flashy -- and it's $4,000.

This place also makes custom stainless steel mesh grills at reasonable prices, including black powder coated so it doesn't look too flashy.

They currently offer a C63 version:

maybe we could arrange a group buy...

Carlsson one isn't bad, kinda a steep price for me though unless it was absolutely necessary. Which it isn't. Why don't you just check MB and maybe it'll be under warranty.
