5,000 miles and car is ... faster?
Maybe it's just that I've broken in the Continental tires, or the chilly autumn air, but my car is definitely feeling faster. Illusory, common, delusional... what gives? Anyone else experiencing this?

Didn't want to open a new post for such a boring question, but
how long do the continential tires last? I'm on my 23k miles and planning on a road trip.
Wasn't sure if I needed new or not.
Also, does anyone know the widest width you can put on 18" AMG wheels(C300)
Please let me know!!! Thanks.

I wouldn't doubt it if it is simply that the cold dry days give you a little denser air in the chamber pre-ignition.
Hot muggy days would likly be the worst, not to mention the AC comprssor running full tilt saps a little more juice as well.

Measure the tread depth with a gauge. And if they are visually down to the wear bars, you have 2/32 left and it's time to buy new ones.

i have about 1.5k miles on the C350... C350 still feels slower than my CLK350. I'm hoping 5k miles it should feel faster.
