Low Beam Bulb

My low beam on the driver side went out. I bought a new buld and changed it out. Still does not work. I looked in the manual and said fuse box is on the driver side of the dash. I opened the side hatch and the fuse box is not there. I need the diagram to show which fuse is for the left side low beam, so I can check the fuse next. ANY one know? Help!

Same thing just happened to me yesterday. Swapped out the left low beam bulb, still not working. If there are no fuses for external bulbs, what is the next thing to check for?

The fuse assignment sheet is folded up in the spare tire next to the tools. External lights are not fused since they feed through the lamp out module. Do you have an illuminated lamp out warning in the instrument cluster?

There are two fuse boxes, one under the hood next to the brake fluid reservoir and the other behind a trap door on the right side of the trunk compartment. The dash-end fuse box does not exist in US cars because the fuses there serve equipment we don't get, as the fuse location diagram shows.

If the external lights are not fused, does the entire module need to be replaced? I have a "Check Left Low Beam" warning in the instrument cluster. All other headlights are working perfectly.

I assume the left high beam is working which rules out a grounding problem. With a known good bulb installed which isn't working, you now have a
warranty claim which is likely to be the lamp out module.

You could test the bulb you removed by installing it in the right side headlight temporarily.

Let your dealer take care of it.

Yup, the left high beam is working fine. I did test the bulb on the right low beam and it's working. I'll get her to the dealer tomorrow. Thanks for the insight!

Make sure the car is completely off when you change the bulb.

The bulb itself isn't under warranty. However, the module itself is warrantied. Which is what he is having the problem with, the bulb itself he said worked in the other headlight.

Also, for those of you with Xenon, it might not be the same issue. It has a level in it that if it detects that if it not within factory specs, it won't allow the light to go on because it will blind oncoming traffic.

2009 mercedes c300 4matic sport edition
Hello , I am Chryss. I'm not too new in the group but just come back. I run a 1988 260E as well as a 2009 C300 4matic sport MB.
For the Nigerian Environment, the C300 is very, very low.
How can I raise it up? Tried a 50 Height Tyre, but it wouldn't fit. What can I do?
