I believe they are 1/8" or you can purchase them from the stealer for a couple of $$

OK... 1/8" must be the wrong size, cus I bought a pack of these today and they are WAYYYY to skinny for the holes on the diffuser and bracket... after I popped the rivet, the rivet backed right out through the hole

Can anybody tell me the EXACT size that worked for their bracket to diffuser application... want to avoid multiple trips to the hardware store and/or returns...

also, what is the best size grip to use along with the best size diameter???

would really appreciate the tips if anybody has them...

sorry for these amateur questions...

It may be because I have never used a hand riveter until now and I don't know what i'm doing, but how hard could it be? I put the skinny end of the rivet in the gun, put the fat end through both of the holes of the pieces that are to be fastened together, and I squeeze, right????

I think I need a bigger diameter rivet than 1/8"?? how did u get it to stay, it seems way to small to me...

but maybe i am using the riveter wrong???

sorry for these amateur questions...
i didnt use rivets at all. i used standard bolt and lock nut and it works great. i forgot what size bolt though, but it shouldn't be hard to find.

ya i was gonna use bolts originally but i wanted to do it the "professional" looking way so i bought a stupid hand riveter and have never used one before until now so i might as well complete it with the tool i bought...

i am real close to just pulling bolts out of my tools drawer if i cant find the right size soon though!

Mannn....I agree with u and frank too, but I already had the not so bright idea to decide to add a new tool to my arsenal and use the pro looking rivets at the same time and dropped 30 bucks for a riveter, so I figure I might as well use it now... Guess back to the hardware store to shoot for the right size...

Ryan,

Sorry it took so long to get back to you. I had a couple of rivets lying around (luckily me). Unfortunately, I can't tell from the under side. BUT the rivet should need some force to get through the plastic hole on the diffuser (i.e. seem like a little large).

If worse come to worse the dealer should have them in stock for less than a dollar. I do not have a part number but they could just look it up on the EPC or walk to the part shelves and bring one out.

Sorry if this doesn't solve your quest.
