drive assist and manual trans.?

re: a 2010 c300 6 sp, can anyone tell me how drive assist/hill hold works with a manual gear box [eg., stop and go on a steep city hill? many thanx.

When the car is on an incline, it gives you a few seconds to press the accelerator pedal (after taking your foot off the brake pedal). The "Hill Hold" feature prevents the vehicle from rolling backwards. This is important because there is no hand brake, which is critical in a manual transmission car.

If the car if facing downhill, the car does not roll forward when are about to reverse.

I'm guessing here, but since hill hold works with the brakes, it's probably just the same with a manual. Once you release the clutch and tap the accelerator it releases the brakes.
