Very FAST!
Headlights

Will the lights on a C300 non-AMG not completely turn off? I am military and when going through the gate in the evening or early morning, we turn the lights off so not to blind the gate officers, however, I can't get mine to turn off. I looked in the manual, but nothing . Thanks...Jamie

Your light switch on the 12o'clock position is OFF. One peg to the right is Automatic. It will turn on when there is a lack of lights. To do what you want to do, turn it to the 12o'clock position.

Additionally, your DRL(Daytime Running Lights) may be on. That can be turned off on the COMMAND menu. Arrow to the RIGHT to settings, then down to lighting, then to Daytime Running Lights to disabled and press ok.

Well in Canada they made it not possible (as its the law to have constant DRL's on during the day) but I heard the US models surely could just flick the switch to the off position. I had my DRL's turned off (Since it's not allowed in Canada, I got a buddy at the dealership to disable it for me) using the STAR system. But again, the US models shouldn't have this problem. On a side note, it was pretty cool, when I disabled the DRL's here, it also turned off the Fog Light cornering system. Which I'm glad it did since it always looked wierd when I turned, others see my car as having only one fog light on. Looked as if one fog light was constantly burnt out.

Take your lights off auto and disable your Daytime Running lights. That should do the trick.
Settings-Lights-Daytime Running Lights-Disabled
BTW- Thanks for serving Our country
