Question CHEAPEST or BEST VALUE replacement tires for OEM Continental ContiSportContact 3's??

Hi, I am looking for the best alternative for the money for a replacement set of four tires on the OEM Continental ContiSportContact 3 tires that came with my wheels that are pretty worn and need to be replaced soon...

I see the Pirelli PZero (Max Performance Summer) tires or the Yokohama ADVAN Sport ZPS (Max Performance Summer) tires are a little more expensive, but are they worth it?

Or does it make sense to go with a much cheaper version like the Sumitomo HTR Z III (Max Performance Summer)? Will these perform drastically less, hence the price?

I have never bought tires for a car before myself so I appreciate any advice given

Thanks

RB

Of all the places to cut back, tires should be the last. Those 4 small patches of rubber are the only connection between your car and the world!! Buying tires is not that hard. Go to tirerack.com and decide what category you want...they are listed under the tire reviews and are pretty self-explanatory...touring, ultra high performance summer, etc. Then, within that category, look at the data tables on the various attributes and make a selection. They help you pick the size for your car. You can also read reviews representing hundreds of thousands or millions of miles of user driving, and see their comparison tests. There aren't enough tints or cf overlays in the world to make up for a set of good tires!!!!

I agree with Sportstick. However, If you want a good summer tire at a ridiculously low price, try the General UHP. I had some on my Passat in 18". They are not the as quiet as P Zero Nero M+S, and the sidewall is bit softer. You won't break any slalom records with them, but they grip well. I think I paid $88.00 each for them at TireRack. BTW, they rate really well on the TireRack website. Remember, price is taken into consideration on that site. When I bought them they ranked number one.
