What do you guys think of the VMR V710? (Pic Below, In Black, Gun Metal and Silver, which would go better with a black C Class?)

Sorry for the huge pictures. The Black one IMO is looking sexy as hell, lol

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
I really like them, but I'm not sure they are right for the W204. That first M3 kills! Personally, I don't like straight black wheels. They make a car look like the owner just sprayed them due to lack of ideas. I like anthricite or gunmetal.

Something like these Abt wheels:

I think the gunmetal would look amazing.

^ Yeah I'm kind of leaning in that direction. Black might be overkill, and Silver might be too much like stock (color wise).

I dunno bout that [overkill]

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the V710 in matte black on the 335/m3. LOVE IT.

I just don't think that type of wheel looks good though on the C300.. never saw it though.

I am thinking of going wwith a black wheel on my white C300.. heres what I am thinking about.

I ideally wanted Koya GTR4 wheels (however, no one has them in the states, cant get them):

And here are the MRR GT1 wheels (what I am most likely going with) which have perfect fitment on the C300 (18 or 19s) I am doing 18s. (the pics below was a photochop I did)

Now you will see the MRRs have polished center cap.

The place I am getting them from, can leave the ring like the Koyas and paint the middle of the center cap black.

Here is the Koya GTR4 wheel up close:

Rough photoshop of making the center cap look more like the Koya

what do you think? Id love to see a photochop of the v710 on C300 in white, and for my application, should I paint center cap black, or leave it polished? I am trying to get it to be as close to the Koya wheel as possible, but don't want to **** it up if black center cap will look bad with no writing.

Yeah actually black looks pretty damn nice. I'm clueless which would look best on a black c class. As for your white c300, you definately should go with the black, it just looks clean! Also paint the center caps black IMO iT would look great.

Those look great but they are all light color cars. I think black on black is played out. The gun metal is sport and lux at the same time.

The first pic of the black BMW is straight nasty!!! I don't think the VMR's will look good on a C. They have the more sporty look where as the C is more claasy looking.

I'm thinking the gunmetal or black might be my choice. Kind of leaning towards the gun metal as I still want the car to look classy and not completely blacked out. Though I dunno as the black on that M3 just looks sick.

Here's a pic of the Gun Metal rims on a Black car:

I'm also wondering if these would fit my C300? All 4 Wheels are 19" x 8.5" with 5/112 bolt pattern and a 45 offset. Would that fit alright without looking out of place? I think also the Hub Bore needs to be expanded as well to fit our cars?

What diameter hub does the C have? What bore do these wheels run? Is enlarging the hub cheap/easy to do and can it cause any problems with the wheel?

Beautiful rims... look great on the M3 but not sure it's the best choice for the C.

black wheels are so overplayed these days, and they often look like steelies from a distance (especially if there is no silver or polished lip).

Silver is always a classic and can't go wrong.
Gunmetal or antracite is nice too and will hide dirt and brake dust.

They look similar to a few of the BBS wheels...specifically the CH and CV (which can be found on TireRack).

Black wheels can be played out as most people already said, I always feel if you go with black wheels...you need a silver lip to balance it out. (on a black car anyway)

Can't go wrong with silver, gold or even white wheels (sounds crazy but looks pretty clean on certain cars)

A few different ones
I think they look great ... I remember the days of white cars with white wheels and red cars with red wheels ...

I guess people could say silver wheels are 'played out' since 99 % of cars have silver wheels ...

I think the gun metal color looks better on a black 204. Black rims on a black car is too much of the same. Looks like a giant milk dud.

I really like the style.

Center bore is 66.56mm.

As for the VMR's, I think they look good, but black-on-black does make it look like the wheels "disappeared", IMO. Silver or Anthra gets my vote.
Even though I think they look great, one part of me says to not do it since they are "BMW" wheels (meant to be a good replica of the CSL wheel), a la if I owned a bimmer, I probably wouldn't put Brabus or Lorinsers on it, even if they looked great. Just my $.015...

Thanks for the tips. Yeah the center bore of our cars is 66.6 so I would have to get these enlarged which is fairly easy to do at any rim shop. I think I might end up going with Gunmetal, its classy yet not too flashy. Though I'd like to see at least one of these sets on our cars, is anyone good with photoshop? lol

VMR are one of the better reps out there. V710 concave are a good design, but I kind of agree with others and suggest you go away from black as black will hide the concavity of the design, which is one of the sexiness of that design.

And don't listen to all the talk about what's played out and what's not. In my opinion, if it's a look you enjoy, who cares what others say or do. Black wheels have been around for a while and people have been saying it's played out for years, but when done right, the look is still killer and an eye turner.

That said, if you want to do something more unique, I've always liked gold wheels on black. It can be hard to pull off, but I've seen a few MBs with that look executed perfectly.

I have a set of silver 18" VMR VB3 wheels (CSL replicas) and they look great on my w204.
The quality is very good and the finish is very durable.

How is the 18" look of the VMR on our cars? I'm debating going with 18s or 19s. Keeping in mind 19s in general are a lot more expensive (for the rims and tires).
