Dear members who put fake //AMG badges on their car & those who don’t think its "such a bad thing",
Please complete the following list:
Step 1
Get to a rooftop. Preferably a building 1000+ feet tall. That's just common sense.
Step 2
Think of some heavy metal, french hip hop, or techno for that matter. If helps with the moment.
Step 3
Jump straight out. Jump up? You just jumped off a building. So don't!
Step 4
Don't go too fast. Not even a good landing can stop you from hitting the ground at 40 MPH.
Step 5
Straighten your legs. You're not a frog.
Step 6
When landing, roll from your shoulder to the opposite hip
Thank you,
Your fellow MB enthusiasts

Because it seems to be that the C-Class is the ricer version of the MB line now.
Just kidding.(not really).
I still say let the man do what he wants. It is his car and it is his taste. I personally don't have the right to judge someone's car and tell people to jump off buildings. If I drove an AMG, I sure as hell won't go apesht on people who badge AMG on their car. Then again, if you do have to balance things, badgeless is the way to go.

Benzes sold in most parts of Asia have the AMG badge put on as stock from the factory if the car comes with the AMG sports package. Whether its a real AMG or not. So I don't see how putting the AMG is a bad thing as long as you don't over do it. Having a car with a AMG badge because it has the AMG body kit and sports package is ok, but claiming your car is a AMG C63 when it's not is another. I feel you're ok, you do have the AMG body kit afterall. Just don't put C63. Just leave the C350 on it. That's how it's done over here.

Looks ****ing stupid. Doesnt "even" out anything. You just simply want people not into cars to think your car is "coooool duuude"
And to the comment that a lot of them come from the factory with the badge is bull****. Its the dealerships that know most people who buy new mercedes are dumbasses and stick them on. +20K!!!

The last time I checked... I WASN'T in Asia and neither is the OP's car. So the whole bit about the badging elsewhere in the world amounts to nothing, since it's NOT DONE HERE.
If the factory doesn't put the badge on for the particular market, then by putting one on then it's posing. Simple as that. There really is no discussion about it.
But the OP wasn't really looking for validation. I don't really think he gives a rats *** what anyone thinks. He was just looking for attention and he got it.

Exactly, some got the point, but I think most here are missed that.
He wanted attention, he wanted to get flamed and called a poser. Mission has been accomplished. 3 pages? LOL.
It's his ride, it's his rep, he can do what he wants. It's not a AMG, never will be. He acknowledged that, that is a wrap.
Is it ok for the badges? Not in the "ethical" sense I guess. My CLS500 had a 55/AMG badge on it from the dealer, I had it removed. It was my choice to do so. My car has the kit, rims, pedals, etc, but not the engine.
Bottom line, some people will what they want and not care about what others may think.

I don't see why there is point to make a big fuss over just a badge. Its just a badge man! Must you all flame the OP just because of a badge which makes him feel better? Its his ride people.. He can do whatever he wants with it and what is important is that towards the end of the day he is happy with his ride.

Correct Royce! if it makes someone feel good then what the heck? he drives a decent C class MB which is why we all post here. Don't act like a crab and pull the others down into the bucket. Each person's car here is an expression of himself. Just support each other, what works for him may not work for you, so what? If I'm happy with what I have that is not for anyone to decide but me. He came out from the beginning without pretense and said he was posing, let us all be happy for him and not grind his nose into the dirt.
Immaturity and snobbery in it's most perfect form has shown through.

I think it looks good.....At least way better than the one I saw few days ago, a C300 with a huge Brabus logo at the back, but without any exterior visible mods.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
I wouldn't do it.
An AMG badge on a car without an AMG engine is like a C63 owner carrying a book. Not all, but some. Yeah, you know.

I really don't think snobbery has anything to do with it. He posted this to get "feedback" knowing the majority would be negative. He knows he is a "poser" and appears to be happy and willing to read all our thoughts on why it is "wrong". I personally don't care what he does with his car but wanted him to know if I ever came across him and his car, my first thought would be "what a dumbass", even if he is a great guy....does he really want some people to have that first impression??? His choice.

The AMG badge belongs to a true AMG with a hand build AMG engine. I love the AMG badge very much but pls guys NO AMG badge if it's not a true AMG!
Just my 2 cents!

FALSE
know what you are talking about before you open your mouth...
let me tell you (and I have just a little bit of time under my belt with benz) that there is not one decal on our cars that is "glued on"
they all employ a 3M type foam-backed adhesive
