I just wanted a few honest opinions about how my cars rear end looked with the badge and quad tips and c63 diffuser (leaving c350 badge on to not be a complete pose and just accentuate styling)...

I appreciate the honest opinions, thanks... time to close this thread... way too much uneccessary attention... i was predicting 2 pages and then this thread would get buried, but damn, with this much attention i will known as a pose forever even though my car is clean otherwise and even if i remove the badge eventually! hahhah, oh well as long as people still help me with my questions on this forum, I don't mind being known as a pose

Here's my take on it ( hell, everyone else has provided input, I might as well )

If I pulled up next to your car, I would think "what kind of idiot would put an AMG badge on a c350" ?

If you had put both an AMG and a c63 badge on your car, I would look at it and go "what a poser, pretending his c300 / c350 is a c63"

If your car was debadged ( or just had the c350 badge on it ) I would think, "man, what I great looking car. His mods sure looks sharp"

I think most people that know the difference between a regular and an non-AMG C class would think the same thing.

I think the cars look great stock. In my opinion, I think it's stupid slamming the car, throwing stupid rims on it, chroming your rims, putting stickers on it, etc.

As for the people making fun of older Mercedes... You have to appreciate the history Mercedes-Benz has. The W201 "Baby Benz" is a great car. So are W220s. Someone made the comment that you can get a 2001 S430 for $12,000... Besides being over 8 years old, the reason you can get old W220s so cheap is because they are expensive to maintain. A C300 is hands down the cheapest MB to maintain. When you throw self leveling suspension, active body control, 4MATIC, or a V12 into the mix, you have to be prepared to pay 3k+ cash for a single visit to the shop. Not a lot of people want to do that, which is why they (and other cars like R129 SL600s, W215 CL600s, W211 E55s, etc) are cheap.

Bottom line, MB cars are great. Just shut up and enjoy your car already

I gave my position, and openly accepted/invited criticism...only when I was first attacked personally by "AMGC" did I fire back something that may be borderline inappropriate, but it was again to defend a personal attack that was uncalled for...

Even urbandictionary.com can get it right, "Someone whos acts like someone theyre not,but not realizing that there being fake, basically a loser trying to fit in."
