*QUESTION* Bought and installed new TPMS sensor. Special calibration or normal reset?
I bought a brand new tpms sensor today and had it installed for $20
quick question would really appreciate a quick answer:
once installed, how do i get the new sensor calibrated and communicating with the cars receiver and the rest of the sensors???
Do i have to take it to the dealer and have some sort of special MB STAR system reset? Or does a simple reset of the settings in the steering wheel screen area do the trick and do the recalibration????

I know you can reset the system through your dash display should you change your tire pressure and need for it to recognize the new tire pressure.
Not so sure if its a new sensor.
Might want to try it and see if it works.

Ya i know i can reset through the steering wheel but how can i tell the new one is communicating with the receiver? Is there some type of master reset that the dealer has to do to sync all four?

With new sensor installed, i still get the red screen of death!!!
Anybody out there know the solution??? Would hate to go to the dealer if there is some easy reset im missing ???

Nevermind the slow responses... I ended up driving about 10 miles and the alert went off... I reset the pressure sensors again and no messages came up... maybe they just "wake up" and sync after a few miles of driving?

Yours took a while but new sensors are automatically recognized. You tend to panic quite easily, don't you. Rules you out for a lot of things.
