punctured tire

Car is only a month old, can't remember if we were offered some tire insurance that covers these things. Would they just give you a brand new tire if it has been punctured by a nail? I surely didn't buy any "insurance" like that. Do I have to go the ghetto way of getting a nearly new tire plugged at a gas station? Just checking.

I have had 4 flats in 15 months of ownership, always in the rear tires. One has been plugged 3 times now, next time its a new tire for that side. I don't understand it, maybe these Continentals are very soft. There is nothing wrong with a properly installed tire plug.

I was offered that insurance for mine, and I'm glad i got it. I've had 3 tires replaced, and going in tomorrow to get another punctured tire replaced, and hopefully 2 scratched rims due to a pot hole.

I've only ever had mine patched. I wouldn't plug a tire that I may drive over 100 mph on.
