Not only did I NOT recieve a loaner car, I was forced to pay for a taxi back to the dealer, because the shuttle was not able to pick me up for a hour and a half. Thats MB service for you!

There is no harm in presenting yourself to the service manager at their busiest time & ask for a review of your bill. Take your time & make sure there is a big line up for service after you.

i was told by my sales person that the cost for service the first time is $299, second is $199, third is $299, and etc......the service price will never be more than $ 299.

a quarter mile at a time
Pretty much for the first Service-A on these cars, you guys should just ask for a regular oil change and have them reset the service indicator. Should be about $100 US

take it here, if you want it done by someone other than yourself
inspection, oil, filter, reset of computer, $200.00 bucks Canadian
http://www.oakridgeauto.com/
if you want you can do it yourself as well, buy your own oil, filter, and look on the net on how to reset the computer, you will save about (maybe) $50.00 bucks
don't forget it's not just ordinary oil, this is where the biggest cost is and if your doing it yourself, use the original MB oil filter as well, you don't want warranty issues latter.

After reading my bill, there were charges for "other" services at $80.00, plus $350 for service A, the filter was $26.00, they even made me pay for the washer fluid top up $4.25.

$600 is more like a B service. I'd query it with the Service manager - maybe you got someone elses bill by mistake.
Good luck

I would definitelyl talk to the SA about that price or else any future business goes else where, the odd part is that you paid for it knowing it was overpriced.

That is crazy. I found that a lot of the MB Techs do work on the side for a fraction of the price. I recently found one in my area. I am getting my Service B done for $250. The guy works at the dealer during the week and does side work on the weekends. He is even able to get my service book stamped. Pretty Cool!
