Bluetooth - Blackberry problems - no one can help?

Hello, I am new to this site, and already I found a whole bunch of interesting info! I have a C300 2009 , with the integrated bluetooth system. I was able to pair both my wifes and my blackberry to the bluetooth system, and was able to sync adresse books etc. all has been working great for 11 months now. I even recently got a new Blackberry (Tour 9630) and was able to sync this one too.

Last week, we went to the dealership for the ''A'' maintenance program. I think they downloaded an software to the media sustem which I was told is not backward compatible (or you can difer back to the older version once installed) Since then, both my Blackberry and my wifes Blackberry are experiencing the same problem... I can make calls and receive them, I hear the people talking to me, but they have a hard time hearing me. Its not the volume level, but a background interference noise with repetitive echoe etc. I deleted both my wife and my BB, re-paired them but this had no sucess. I went to the MB dealership, and they could not find the problem either. I asked the guy at the dealership to pair his own BB on my bluetooth to test, and it worked well!! He therfore proceeded to tell me that the problem was at the Blackberry level of course...
I called my local cell provider (take note I am on a BES server, and my wife is not), and when I told them I had an intergrated Benz bluetooth etc, they told me they could not help me (for they dont support OEM car bluetooth systems). Since then, I dont know where to turn.... Is there a patch for the Benz, for my BB ? (I went to the wireless download option on my BB and it says I have the latest update)... Does anyone have an idea as to where I should turn to, or what I should do? and please, dont tell me to get a new blackberry

thanks

My blackberry just nose dived today and I can't even get it to turn on.. I'm in the middle of trying to get it to wipe itself and update... so good luck with that one. I think there was probably a bug in the 4.5.0 update! Did you update your Blackberry before this started happening?

May have something to do with the software BB keeps screwing with that brings down the whole system.

My guess is that you can't really do anything about it and that it'll eventually take care of itself.

We have been seeing alot of issues with the BB Tour 9630, it currently is not a MB supported phone, see: http://www.mercedes-benz-mobile.com/. That said I have seen good results with the latest telematics software installed, and removing the battery from the phone and re-inserting, then pair them up. Make sure that before you pair them, they are both deleted from each other, so you are starting from scratch.

BlackBerry Tour in 2010 E350

I was having a similar problem. The phone would connect but I lost all audio for Satellite, CD, Radio. The screen displayed the phone as connected. I used the phone to call another phone, it dialed it, and when I disconnected the audio system worked and the phone worked. Not sure why this happens but by dialing a call it clears the problem.

still no luck - and i have tried many other phones

Just to let you all know, that I will be contacting the dealership once again. This weekend, I decided to test/pair as many bluetooth phones as I could to see it they would work. I tried 3 Blackberries (Tour, Curve, Bold) and none worked well. I tried an Iphone, and a Samsung phone. All the same problem! I am starting to think that the Benz microphone is the problem????

In the link MBtech1098 posted, I found out that the C class isn't compatible with my Bold 9700. I guess that's why I couldn't get it to connect, but will it ever be?

Did you ask RIM? Shouldn't they take care of this since most phones work with the car (I've never used a phone that would not work with any of my MBs, but I have not used Blackberry phones, not that they would be bad).

Another round of ICE
Just to add to the inconsistency......my Curve 8310 and Bold 9000 work perfectly with bluetooth in my C300. The people I call note that the sound is much better since switching from Curve to Bold for no reason I can identify.

Maybe the phone had the bluetooth stack changed in a firmware update.

Just checked your software version and you stated that you had 4.7.1.40. I'm not sure what carrier you have, but Verizon's current software version for the Tour is 4.7.1.61. The platform should be 4.1.0.81. The Tours have been problematic for a few factory equipped Bluetooth vehicles, and although the Tour isn't listed as an approved device on their website, I've been able to get them to sync with nearly every MB product to date. As MBtech1098 stated, be sure you've deleted the profile from both the phone and the vehicle before re-pairing the devices. You may need to perform the software flash from your PC if your Tour still states that there is no software upgrade available.

UPDATE ! FOUND THE PROBLEM !!!

First I would like to thank everyone for your answers. In a way, it helped me gather info to solve my problem. Seeing that nothing was working... having paired many types of phones, I decided to call my Benz Sales rep instead of the service desk. Since to the service desk I am just another customer, I figured my sales rep would see otherwise (having purchased 5 Mercedes cars in a row...) He listened, and told me to bring it back to him, and that he would take care of it.
I told him everything I had done so far, icluding adding this post on the forum...

RESULT : The microphone in the mirror was the issue/problem ! They replaced it and it works great.

Lesson learned !

thanks again, have a great day !

I have a bold 9700 paired with my 2008 C350 and it's working with no problems.

I'm having the exact same problem with my 2008 C300. I was able to pair my BlackBerry 8350i, as well as transfer all my contacts without any issues, but when I try to make a call the person on the other side of the line is simply unable to hear me, even though I can hear them perfectly.

I'm afraid to take it to the stealership, since I'm out of warranty, and I've read here that the rearview mirror is quite expensive...
