Rim question (C300 Luxury)

Gentlemen, I had a question in regards to staggered rims on the Luxury (comes 4x4)

Can I use staggered rims? What would need modifying if anything?
Also, in regards to dropping the car on either Eibachs or Supersports, can I do that even though it's a 4x4?

Thanks, I tried searching around but not many guys on here have the Lux.

As to the rims, you won't have a problem...

Not sure about the springs though sorry!

C300 Sports 4-Matic
I'll take the 4x4 as 4Matic?

There are 2 known manufacturer that sells lowering springs for 4Matic and they are H&R and BG.

Staggered aftermarket rims/tires package for 4Matic is okay as long as the diameter will not be more than to what i believe 2% and you should be okay.

When buying an aftermarket rims just make sure that the offset should be at least 45+. Anything lower than and you might have a problem.

Goodluck.

By 4x4 I just meant that each rim is the same size, I wasn't sure if it had to do anything with the suspension, this is the RWD, not the 4Matic though. Thanks for the info anyway

You can use anything that fits under the fender.

The obvious and easiest choice would be the 18" AMG found on other W204s. That's what is on my C300 Lux.

Not cheap, however.

I hear you, they're like 800 each ...My dealer just released some neat two-tone ones they had on a GLK that are only 450$ each. Thanks for the note.

on our cars i would say "looks".. but other cars like lambos or any big HP RWD CARS, it would help to have a wider tire on the rear for more traction.. like drag racing cars..

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
Wider rear tires reduce slide out and also assist with a sharper steering response. And yes, for cars with high hp engines, launch traction is improved.

You can use any lowering springs that are used on the sport model. Also, I am considering selling my 18" AMG wheels w/out TPMS valves of course.

RLE, do you have any photos of your car. Curious what the 18s look like on a luxury model.

Carlsson makes lowering springs
and I'm pretty sure they have an option for the Luxury model, it's very common here in Germany.

Carlsson has a dealer here in Miami Beach so I'll be sure to check it out.

Hello, can you anwser a question for me.

I just purchased 19'' x 9.5'' x 44+offset rear rims for my 2010 C300 sport; will 275/30/19'' tires have any clearance problems?

The reason why I'm asking is I just mounted 265/30/19 on the rims and the side wall taper in alittle too much.
the fronts look fine they are 235/35/19 on 8.5'' rims.

235/35/19'' tire outer dia. is 25.5''
265/30/19'' 25.4''
275/30/19'' 25.6'' still within 2% of each other in dia.
