*PICS* - ANYONE w/ a 2010 w204 w/OEM backup Cam? - Please post pics of Screen in use
SubscribeI have my kenwood backup cam installed and in perfect working order, but there is the OCD inside of me that wants to make sure I have it pointed as close to factory direction as possible...
Originally, I had the camera installed lower and more visible from behind the car, in order to have 100% clearance of the top of the trunk lid handle and just have the very edge of the bumper exposed. This looked AWESOME and super clean on the screen, but from the rear of the car, I noticed it hung down too far and did not look factory compared to new E classes with the cam I have seen...
So... I raised it up in the bracket to a much more hidden style camera unit, and the screen now shows the top part of the trunk lid handle (black) and a little bit of the bumper on the bottom (kind of looks like you are peering through a peephole)
I know on SUVs that have high clearance, you have camera views on screen that are 100% clear of obstruction and just view the bumper edge for perspective, but am not sure that this is possible on our car when you install the camera in the factory style location.
I have not seen anybody post a picture of the way their screen looks on a factory oem w204 cam yet... Can someone who has this please take a picture and post?
Thanks so much in advance

Here are a few examples I gathered from other installations:

I think this camera angle above sucks in my opinion, because you cannot see your bumper, which is essential for parking and backing up...
This one below is close to how I had mine initially, except I had no corners at the top and it was more bumper on the bottom for better perspective... How I had it before I believe was best, kind of like this picture below, except for the fact it looked like crap and super amateur aftermarket style from the rear, in my opinion:

Then there is Vaderss way which looks the cleanest from the back and most professional (how i have mine now) but the picture on the screen does not look as clean and you lose visibility on the top of the screen, but can still see the bumper great:

EDIT: I just found a few factory pics, but please add more + discussion and general consensus of what is the best angle if you could please
FACTORY OEM BACKUP CAM PICS:

WOW, factory oem cam view sucks the most!!! Who would have thought... it is all cockeyed and off center with tons of obstruction...
glad i did not pay for a factory cam and got a better cleaner option as after market/oem style
