But, seriously, if you don't want to get dedicated winter tires, the following shows Continental Extreme Contact DWS are the best for your purpose. Note the great scores for WINTER/SNOW

I put Toyo Proxes4 on my wifes C300 4matic - night and day over the stock Conti tires that came on it. I live in Oshkosh, WI - roughly 3 hours north of Chicago. Handled the huge storm in mid Dec with no issues at all. Recommend them.
