Newbie - Need Lighting Recommendation

Great forum - very impressed. Just purchased '08 C300 Sport (w/ Bi-Zenons). Would like to upgrading the lighting for the fogs, side markers, license light and tail lights. Read through various posts and still cannot determine if LEDs or Polarg type bulbs are better (intensity, quality, color, etc), or is it more of a personal preference thing ? Any guidance would be appreciated. Note: looking for simple plug-and-play changes.

Also - has anyone upgraded the interior lighting ? if so, with what bulbs ? Looking for a brighter, more "daylight" look from the dome / reading lights.

Thanks

Well actually this topic has been covered many times. Its really up to personal preference and how you wanna get things done. If you want a perfect match for the fogs then the closest you can get is with Philips Crystal Vision 4300k. As for the rest. Please do search through the forum. It really has been covered many times.

Thanks - yes, so much good information that it became confusing (at least for a newbie) as to whether there were any real differences.

Well the difference between Polargs and LEDs are that LEDs are somehow brighter compared to Polargs. However they tend to shift in colour due to the change in voltage when starting up the car etc. There are a few members who tried out the LEDs from iJDM and they are pretty satisfied with it so if you're really into LEDs you can get those from iJDM for the eyelids and sidemarkers. You'll need 3 pairs if you're switching out everything. For the rear license plate light, I'm using the LEDs ones from JBSPEED. Been using them for about 2 months and haven't have any problems at all. Try do a search and you'll be able to see the pics.

Haven't switched out my interior lighting so I couldn't help out much.

Polarg are the easiet way and safest for eyelids to match with stock xenon, There are picture everwhere to show. There a thread title "best light for eyelids" or something like that should really help you out. I got polargs and couldnt be any happier.

+1 They were really cheap and look awesome. Be sure to get clear side markers from ebay too.
