Any engine update for the C & E's?

I've read online that the new SLK for 2011 MY will have 300+ hp twin turbo or DI V6, and possibly a small TT V8, good for 450+ horsepower. I don't know about the V8, but since the V6 is the bread and butter motor for MB, I'd think everything that uses the 3.5L V6 will get this motor later on. Logic dictates MB has to to make themselves competitive. Doesn't make sense to use a newly developed motor just for the SLK, right? The availablity of this new V6 will greatly affect my decision for my next car. My lease for C350 is up for 09/2010. I saw a paladium silver E350 RWD with sport package with black MB rims on it and it looked personally to me better than the E63 next to it. But it is all bark and no bite. Personally I think C350 has just adequate power, I can't imagine driving a C300, so I either wait for the new E350 with new motor in it for 2011 MY, or turn in my lease early and go for a 2010 E550. The black rims really make the car look menacing. Can't imagine how mean it would look all in black.

My uncle who works for MB said the C Coupe is likely to debut the TT V6.. the TT V6 has been confirmed according to him (regardless what model gets it 1st). It will compete with the TT v6 in the 335/535 bmws... and as you know with those cars, they are almost a modern supra, tune + intake + downpipes and it will take on most cars.

I have no idea what MB has in store, but the SLK350 already has the newly direct injected 3.5 with 300 horsepower for 2010.

However, if they were going to replace the 3.5 268 hp engine so quickly, they wouldnt have put it in the new 2010 E class. My guess is that it will go into the E class during the midlife refresh in 3 years. And since I dont think they will have the C class with the better engine, Im thinking this generation C class will not see the new 300 hp engine

Mercedes never does anything logical lol. The C Coupe is rumored to get that twin turbo unit first. It's hard to say if that will eventually replace the current V6 or if the Direct Injection unit will. I'd lean more towards the Direct Injection unit as the U.S. customers have been asking for this engine since the w204's introduction. But a twin turbo unit is exactly what the C needs and hopefully some of that power will trickle down the the C300.
