Squeaking noise from engine on cold start
I have a squeaking noise coming from the engine on cold start. I called the dealership, but they said that they have to hear the noise in order to diagnose it. Unfortunately by the time I drive to the garage which is about 2 miles away, the noise is gone.
Does anyone else have this annoying problem?

I had this problem twice - took it to the dealer twice and left over night out side. They fixed it - twice.
I did hear it for the third time a while back but seems to have gone away. I don't have my records with me because travelling but I seem to recall the first time they sprayed the belt with some kind of stuff and second time they replaced a belt.
You pretty much need to leave it overnight and hope the fix works first time. Good luck.

Yeah, I heard that once too but it's for a split second and I only heard it once so I didn't see it as a big problem. The day that it did happen it was about 25 degrees so I dunnooooo. GL with that and keep us posted.

I finally decided to take the car to the dealer since I grew tired of hearing the squeaking noise every morning.
First, they changed the idler pulley, but that did not solve the problem. The next day, the V-Belt was replaced, and the noise disappeared.
