That depends on a large number of factors but my average would likely be around 2500-3000 RPM. It all depends on incline(+/-), traffic, type of road and most of all, whether or not I am in a hurry or just cruising.
One thing I have noticed is that I tend to run up to 4000 RPM a little more often since I had my X Pipe installed...

yup all depends on the situation.lol to save gas shift at 3000-3500 and cruise 6th on the highway. If you are in a hurry to be somewhere its all on you. haha i usually go up to 6500 and i do have a ECU upg. so i have no limiter which is awesome.

Is the "ondrive" simply a shift light? What year did those go in?
For easing along there is pretty decent pull from 1500 RPM upward without any sign of lugging(at light throttle anyhow) so as long as you are not in a hurry, 2100 RPM sounds pretty good.

I think Mercedes has made a big mistake not offering 6-MT on the C350.

As good as the 7-speed auto is I would love to have the 6-speed and if the purpose of the C-class is to take on the BMWs and Audis this type of transmission to me is a must. Plus a little more power, say around 280 HP?

I tend to shift in traffic around 3k but i like how it sounds when you go past 3.5k.
Also anyone notice a type of lag when shifting into 3rd gear? It's doesn’t have the same acceleration when shifting into 3rd and am not traveling to slow either. Anyone else notice this?

I haven't really noticed that the ratio between 2-3 is any wider than between any of the other gears.

Another round of ICE
2000 rpm or below until normal operating temperature. Then, routinely 3-4 grand unless I want to push it....then 4-5 (or more)

C300 6speed
I find that I cannot upshift quickly above 3k rpm, particularly from 1 to 2. This is because the ratio between 1 and 2 is very wide and rpms do not drop quickly enough. As a result there has to be a delay in order to shift smoothly.
This is a disappointment considering that the manual transmission in C300 is otherwise pretty good. Smooth, but not very sporty
