Polarg m4 installation question
Polarg m4 installation question
does anyone know if you have to wear a glove to install these eyelid lights? I've bought a polarg h7 halogen lights before and i heard your not suppose to touch the bulb with your bare hands? Just wondering if its the same with the polarg m4 eyelid lights?
No it doesn't matter. I had my hands all over the bulbs when trying to install them. They don't get hot enough for it to matter. Other bulbs..like the Xenon bulbs...get really hot and they oil from your fingers will cause them to burn the lense

It's always best to keep bulbs as clean as possible. This will maximize light output and lifespan. Even though they don't burn as hot as Halogen or Zenon, you don't want oil from you hand holding heat on the glass as it can accelerate filament burn through.
As others said, its always best to keep bulbs as clean as possible as they are very fragile and oil from fingers can heat and cause steam and smoke. If you are going to install them, wear latex gloves. That way, you can get the feeling of bare hands yet without the oil and residue.
