Display Screen Malfunction - 2010 C300

I just purchased a 2010 C300 with the navigation package and the first day the navigation display stopped working. It turns on and works for a while, but as soon as it heats up the picture starts to roll and get all fuzzy. I took it to the dealership and they said it had a wire loose. They seemed to fix the problem for a couple of days but it just started happening again. I guess its off to the service center again. My car will be in the service center for longer than I've owned it.

Anyone experience this before? I did a search and didn't see anything like this. See attached picture.

Regards,
joey

Whoa... never seen that before. I'd definitely have the dealer make sure everything is in tact before releasing the vehicle back to you. Is there anyway you know of how to reproduce the problem? or is it only when its been on for awhile?

Tell them to just replace the whole unit :P

At first the display would be fine for 10 or 15 minutes before going bad. After they fixed it the first time the display has been fine until today. When I got back into my car after lunch the display was shot again. I think it's heat related because the car was sitting in the sun.

I'll recommend they replace the whole unit, but I'm sure they'll do what they think is right.

Definitely have them replace the whole unit unless they know specifically which part of the head unit is causing the problem.

I'm sure its hot in other states as well but this is the first reported about the MM screen doing that, at least from what I've seen.

If the SA gives you trouble just tell them you spent X amount of money buying the car expecting everything to work not just part of the vehicle lol.
