question for the c350 owners..

On a red light if you guys stomp your c350s, does your tires squeal and go? when i stomp my c350 from a red light i dont hear jack and it just moves.. not trying to waste my tires or anything but i even seen c300s have enough power to make some kinda squeal.. any thoughts? i have it on S, esp off and on 1st gear by the way...

With ESP off I could break the rears free by mashing the pedal last fall. But that was on a all-but-worn-out set of rear tires. I also broke them free on the hwy when I hit the gas at 50-60mph in the cold rain. Even with the ESP that was scary because I wasn't expecting it.

But with my new tires or my winter set, the only way I can break them free is if there's a little sand on the road or if the road is damp/wet. Sometimes you can do it on dry pavement when taking a right turn from a stop.

When I was intentionally killing my old summer tires last fall, I was able to lay down some really nice long dual tread marks but you have to start with a little break-stand. Lightly hold the brakes (no more than needed to hold the car still) and gas it, they break free around 2500+ rpms if I recall. They'll easily spin thru 1st and well into 2nd.

I can always spin my tires buy stomping it, i just thro it in 1st and mash it!

when i had the stock tires on they squeal everywhere.. off a red light, on a hard left turn..

it's not like a burnout or anything, but it does make an obvious squeaky sound all the time.
I've always think of it as the tires not having enough grip though.

hmm, i throw it on 1st, turn the esp off.. when i mash it, i don't even hear a chirp lolz.. i got michelin pilots all seaon on it,, maybe it has too much grip..

Tried it yesterday, unless you power brake, nothing on a straight line.

My Michelins have pretty decent grip but are easy to chirp off the line in my C300...but like Sportstick says, the manual trans makes all the difference.

I don't think the C350 has enough torgue to break the tires on dry pavement from a standing start unless you use the brakes. not with an automatic. Now if I had the nice 6-speed the C300 has man oh man.
