Noise - Shipping blocks on new car?

Just picked up my new C300 on Saturday and am absolutely loving it. BUT, I noticed that sometimes (not always) when I hit a bump I hear a pretty loud crack considering how quiet the car normally is from the front wheels. I have the 18" AMG's.

I had the awful thought they left those things that cause your car to ride high that dealers sometimes forget to take out once removed from the truck.

I'd do a search and look, but as you can see, I totally forget what their called!

Could it just be it needs to loosen up or how do I check if those things are still in?

Thanks!
KF

Is there something I should look for that would be obvious? Like I said, it's only on good sized bumps, not normal ones. Net, I'm not sure if it's just the way the car is or not.

Thanks

Ok, found the 'term' and a picture here:

they're called shipping spring spacers. I checked my car and I don't have them. That's good!

Now, I just need to keep an eye/ear to see if I can pinpoint the noise. Could be that the car/suspension is so stiff that it's part of break in?

My girlfriends 09 A4 had them in for the first 2000 miles.... I always wondered why her car rode a little stiff even though she didn't get the sport package...I never looked at them until one started sueaking while working its way out. No big deal as there is not much they can hurt if they are not removed. But now the car rides lower and better....
