c200k step in accelerator pedal?
Hi Guys,
Just wondering....When i press the accelerator pedal on my c200 just before its fully engaged theres like what i can describe as a step in the pedal travel...is this normal?
If not i was just wondering if its something i should get looked at before the warantee runs out.

Are you talking about just before you hit WOT? It's a transmission downshift button. Same as just holding your shifter knob over to the left when driving.

I was going to post the same. It's obviously for the autos though... since I drive the manual the step down doesn't actualy do anything.

I have a manual as well and have the kickdown switch. It is likely cheaper for MB to design only one pedal assembly and simply have it not do anything for the manuals.
