Normal service $528.00 USD, the Service Manager told me I'm going to need new rear brakes and rotors soon. I told him they are the originals. He didn't believe me and looked over my service records to verify. He said that may be a record...LOL He said the highest he has seen was around 65,000 miles.

I just sold a VW with 170K miles - original rotors. As long as you change your pads when you should, a rotor can last a long time.

81,000 miles is a great effort. You must drive with great anticipation

I think every car manufacturer has a different rotor/ disc hardness set up so wearing will vary between models.

I was on the same set of original rotors at 450,000 km on an old 504 Peugeot. Just shows how the metal has softened in rotors over the years with the changes in technology.

That is pretty expensive for Service B, no?

My dealer quoted me $275 for Service A, and I thought it was a bit to much for a simple oil change... So I am going to bring it to an independent shop and have them stamp my book.
