Nail in tire!
Hi there, I just discovered a nail in my passenger front tires! I have just over 5,000km on the car and was wondering if I plug the tire I still could get a year or two out of the original tire?. I did'nt wanted to purchase a new tire with only 5,000km on these ones'. Anyone plug there tires? any feedback will be greatly appreciated.

Depends on the width of the tear/nail ... if less than 5mm then it's totally fine. I had the same issue . However, with my michelin tires which i had installed @ year 1. The conti's got a bulge in them and overall they really sucked.

I would just plug them.. As long as its not on the sidewall your fine.
I have done this before to my Hummer H2 tire. Granted it is a much larger tire, but it was fine, held up for about 3 years no problem...

Take it to a knowledgable & trusted tyre retailer & obtain his advice. I have had my nail punctures repaired without any repercussions.
