Attention All DDM/Aftermarket HID Users

im interested in knowing how you guys wired your HIDs. please feel free to vote and discuss if a harness is necessary (not the error/capacitors). The harness that protects the wires

what is this harness? extra protected wiring to route the ballast and error eliminator farther?

Still doesn't make sense. The OEM wires to the bulbs are already protected since they are inside the light housing and behind the dust cap. If you're talking about the wires that run to the ballast and the error cancellers, they're fine without being protected. If you want to make them less noticeable, especially the red wire, you want to get black split-loom tubing, stuff the wires inside, and zip-tie everything up nice and tidy.

My W204 has factory HIDs.

I just installed MTEC HIDs on my SLK.

I think the MTEC kit is fantastic. I know others do not like the price.

The ballast does everything firstly.

Secondly, you get all the bits you need for Mercedes. You get the bulb clip holders, so you do not have to modify the bulb holder that came with the car.

Furthermore, on the MTEC kit, all the wires are inside plastic surrounds or whatnot, so you do not have 4 individual wires coming out of the dust cover rubber grommet, everything is professional and looks OEM basically.

i have factory hid at 4300K

i just replaced the uhhh bulbs with 8000k jdm.

it took the Mercedes tech 2 hrs to do. lol. rookie!

i love the look but they are not as bright as oem.

i dont really care though, this site has turned me into a mod tard!
