DISH VS CONCAVE

I hope you don't mind, please let me know if you don't want me to use your pictures
I found a local supplier that happens to have both these wheels, they both look fantastic to me, so I just want your opinions, they are similar stroke design but one is dished and one is concaved

I was told no concave is possible on the C63. Due to the high offsets, there would not be much of a "concavity". However, we also have the huge brakes to include...so it might be a different story on a regular C? Personally if you can make it look concave like that CLS go for it...I vote for concave.

I have always liked a lip, the one on the dish. The wheels without a lip always looked to me to be like all the so called front drive wheels. So IMO I like the dish. I do like the wheels.
I`ve had a difficult time finding the Mercedes high offset, "hubcentric" wheels in the USA. Suppliers keep saying the cars too new, hell it`s been 3 model years allready, how long does it take.

that car blazeitup posted ftw .. I think lipped wheels are a little played out, but the ones in the top pic are nicely done... I just have learned to hate cars where the douchers that own them are so obsessed with their wheel lip.. it just turned into a gay fad. guys would lay their cell phones on the lip and take a picture of it.. oh man check out how phat and fat my lip is bro! phat bro!

So you don`t like the Vossen 83/85 or many of the HRE wheels with lips and a boat load of forged most of which have lips?

I know what you mean....I have had no success, but I only want 17". I am waiting on a shipping container of new designs with C Class offsets that Power Wheels Pro said they will have around the end of June. I was also surprised at how unaware several wheel suppliers were of the unusual W204 offset as recently as a couple of months ago.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
To me dish vs concave depends on the wheel. In this case, no dish. I like some flat-faced wheels even more than dish or concave. JD, as for the C63, the brakes would be the only hinderance as the offsets are very close to the so-called regular W204s.

I`m with you on the 17`s thats all I want. I will only buy a "hubcentric wheel" thats also a problem. I luv the looks of the larger wheels but will not go there. All my Mercedes have had Eibach springs and stock wheels [ or hubcentrics made for Mercedes ] all looked good and have never had wheel problems. Power Wheels Pro do they have a internet site. I`d be interested in what they will be stocking. Does your RWD have the same 47mm front and 58mm rear offsets the 4 matics have

Both look nice, I like concave and lipped rims. What I will say is:
1. make sure the fitment is right.
2. They should be hubcentric, a must.
On my car (CLS), lips look great. Yours is smaller, and the concave I am leaning more toward on your car.

I personally like the concave look as it looks more cleaner.

I think deep dish rims are out of style now...
They look nice on some larger cars, i.e. 6 series or 7 series, but I think it's time we relegate them to the bin that holds doo rags, civic hoods with PR flags draped over them, and fart can exhausts...
IMHO, concave rims look clean cut while deep dish rims give the car a "ghetto ballin" type look (which is exactly what some people go for...)

Out of curiosity, is it a car mod culture thing to say dish instead of convex? Would I sound like an idiot using the wrong term at the local shop?

its either dish, concave or flat face :I
never heard of the term convex used in wheels though I would imagine convex is probably some wheel cover that goes outward of the wheel
