As far as I know, that is the going price for the update. There are a few people who are splitting the cost of the upgrade disks (and shipping the disks between the group) on http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w204-c-class/

That seems to be the cheap-er way to buying it on your own.

mine was a 2008 version, I asked a friendly technician from the dealer to update to 2010 version FOC during a service B.

the new version has lots of details about buildings and places.

I bought it yesterday and installed it last night. It takes almost two hours and although the instructions say the download can be interrupted and will finish later, I let the locked car idle in the driveway with the hood up. I found out when loading the previous update that the battery charge would not survive two hours with the key in the accessory position.

The dealer price and the online price are the same. But, I'm thinking of offering the disc for sale at a knockdown price since I don't see that I would have to reinstall the software.
