Hey guys, first time poster here and any help would be much appreciated. I have an '09 C300 4 Matic Sport that has a cracked drivers side fog light. My gf was awesome and bought me a replacement fog light just becasuse she knows how much I like the car ....it was oval and she was sceptical since its round on the car and she called the MB dealer and they told her it was the right one, that the part number and all matched. Well she gave me the light and I started trying to replace it and of course the light is round. After trying to do some research and all I cant seem to find the right fog light, everything either shows up without a picture or they show the fog light and its oval. Anyone have a link to a site that sells the replacement for light or the part number? Once again any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

theres a part number thread in this section check it out it might have what your looking for, if not call back MB and specify which type of model you have (sport or luxury) that may be an issue not a hundred percent sure though

Sounds like you have the luxury replacement foglight if it's oval. As you noticed the sport models have round ones. I just replaced my driver side fog on my 2008 C350. The part # I was given by my dealer should be good on '09 as well.

I ordered it from getmercedesparts.com (MB dealer in Annapolis) for $126 shipped.

Have fun replacing it! (it actually wasn't that bad but it sucked)

I have had the same issue while buying off of eBay...

What I suggest is buying it from www.vipgermanparts.com

That's where I bought mine, no part number needed, just order left or right side foglight (side is determined from which side of the car it is on if your sitting in the drivers seat). You have the w/amg sytyling option if you have the sport package. It came to like $97 shipped and it is 100% OEM and made by Hella. Int he box I found out they bought it from Mercedes of For Lauderdale and shipped it to me.

from eBay to replace my passenger side cracked fog light. It says it is the stock replacement of OEM MB Part #230 820 0556, but my local MB dealer said it won't fit. Do you guys think they are just trying to avoid installing non-genuine MB part?

I'm not certain, but I don't think that will fit. Typically, the sellers on ebay don't know jack, they just want to sell you a part. I ran into the same thing on there with a seller telling me it would fit. I'm glad I researched it a bit.

First, just in case you don't know, the 230 in the part number means it's for the W230 which is an SL model.

Second they say that it is for either the right or left side. That certainly is not what you want. We have corner illuminating fog lights, so they are specific to one side or the other.

The part number you need is 204 820 2256 which is the right (passenger) fog light for the sport model.

What did you have to do to replace the fog lamp? I also have a cracked lens on the passenger side (Round) fog lamp.

just pull the bumper and its like 4 screws on each fog. if you know what bolts to turn its quite easy. its about a 1 hour job on the ground.

there is a pic with bolt placements in a hid fog diy.

I bought a passenger side Fog light for a C350 sport from partstrain. However, had to return it even though it appeared round in the illustration it was the WRONG one. They are good about returns so I'll try again somewhere else.
