TINTED Front and Rear Lights
Hi, I currently have a white c220 over in the uk. i have been having a look through some threads and have noticed alot of cars have had their rear lights tinted/smoked and also the headlights. Id love to know how this has been done and any pictures would be great.
Cheers

the easiest way is to apply a tinted film. cheap, fast, reversible. you can have a shop do it for you or buy pre made ones off the internet and do it yourself if you have good hands.
you can also paint the lights, which gives a neater look.
then you can also take the lights apart and paint the housing. it looks the best imo but theres a chance you might get fog or some other problems.

from what i understand there are 2 methods.
first would be tinting, just like windows, and you can pick the percentage of opacity that you prefer. solid color, quick easy and takes little time.
second is painting or smoking. the light housing would have to be removed from the car, sanded, cleaned, painted, clear coated and allowed to dry. so this can take all day and labor is not cheap. the only positive i can find with this method is fading a gradients of the color for a different style of look.
