Engine start up

So I bought a used 08 C300 and the first few seconds after I start the car, the engine sounds a little rough and then the begins o get quiet. Has anyone else noticed this on the start up.

When I bought it, it was listed as a dealer car with 19k in mileage.

Do you mean knock-knock-knock-knock as oil pressure comes up?

That's sounds right, its just a few seconds of what sounds like rough idle and then it disappears and smooth's out. I just wasn't sure if it was and enginge issue.

Now that you have read all those posts (including mine) going back two years plus, you can see that the noise is more than common and has caused no problems that have been reported.

So, forget it.

BTW, mine still makes the noise on most starts at 21K miles.
