Change front parking lights - how?

Hi,

I just received a warning in my Instrument Cluster that the front right park light needs to be replaced. I though this would be a good opportunity to change all 4 parking lights (right and left side), but I was quickly discouraged when I first tried to do it myself.

I don't have small hands, neither do I have large hands. But I just can't get to the park lights, especially on the left side. Are there any special tools around for this particular job, is there any magic procedure that would help me, or do I need to disassemble the whole head lamp to get to the park lights? As it seems now, I am just not able to do it myself and I would like to avoid the USD 140.00 a job like this would cost here in Norway where I live.

Well if you could kindly tell us whether it be the eyelid...wait. Silly me. Lol. European models don't have the sidemarkers :3 Well seeing as you're referring to the eyelids, the elft side can be done by using needle-nose pliers to pull out the sockets. Small handy tool you can find in a hardware store for about 5USD. For the bulbs, you can either find stock W5W bulbs or go for something like these. http://www.amazon.com/Polarg-M4-Supe.../dp/B001GNLVOE
These are pretty much the same as stock ones. Only a tad brighter, but possibly much cheaper.

Yup, you got it right - the eyelids. I already have those bulbs from Polarg

Then needle nose pliers should do the job. I had the same issue as you. I changed all three of the lights at first but could not for the life of me pull that left driver's side one out (on the way left). But then I went to a local electronics shop and bought some needle nose pliers. You probably even have some lying around if you're a handyman. But yeah. Then it took me about 30 seconds to complete the job once I pulled em out.

Excellent, thank you for the tip. I know I have a needle nose plier laying around, maybe even a couple. I'll give it a try when I get back home.
