Ding on lip of Wheel
Is it possible to have pebbles leaving little dings on the lip of your rims? My rear wheels (CL63 Monarch) have about 3.5" lip, and I found a few ding/dents the size of small pebbles. I'm not sure how it got there.

When you say ding...do you mean chip or is there an actual dent in your rims? Quality wheels should not dent, but finish (such as chrome) can chip off.

On my stock c300 sport rims I have tons of scratches and chrome coming off at only 13k miles... I am pretty pissed, my infiniti never had any of these symptoms. And to make matters worse, I also have some "dings" but I would call them instead pitting in the wheels.

Ding as in actual dent. I bought the rims from Jerry at formymercedes.com. Now, I'm questioning the quality of those rims then....

Do you use mudflaps in Northern America ?.
They deflect a lot of stones from bodywork & rear wheels.

It's a quality issue. Lips are susceptible to damage in the first place.
IMO, when it comes to wheels over 16" nothing but forged makes sense from perspective of: safety, appearance, longevity, performance.
