I see Agility control....again which is standard on all C Sport models...I still don't see "Optional" and I don't see the Dynamic Handling Package or Advanced Agility Package. I know what it is because I have it...it's the main reason I bought a 2010 and not a 2009. Can you take a screen shot?

Definitely a discrepancy. By the way, I just got my C300 2010 on Wednesday. It had "Advanced Agility Control" as the package name on the sticker and came with all of the features you describe as Dynamic Handling Package.

What is the package number for DHP you describe? I'll have to check the number on the AAC listed on my sticker.

Ok so you know what im talking about then lol. It's the same thing. The cars are built in Europe so the only thing that says DHP was the US website. European sites and the package in the system at the dealer is Advanced Agility Control (315)

Hmmm... I'm in the US and before I went down to the dealer, I was on the US website and saw it listed there as AAC, not DHP when I was building the options for my car to get a sticker price amount to match theirs. I can't confirm because the website is changed now and no way to get to that page again.

From the looks of it, you can't get AAC/DHP anymore on the C-Class... is that true?!? Also, the C350 options are minimal, sticker went up, I'm assuming new things are included rather than optional.

its going to be tough to retrofit the DRLs because I noticed the stock ones dim when the headlights are turned on (at least on the E class but I assume its the same).

then we have to connect it not to the foglights because we wouldnt want them to act with the cornering function, so then we have to just connect it to run when the engine is started. But then there is no way to control the dimming function. sigh

But then there is also the option to turn on/off DRLs in the main cluster display (which currently only activates the regular headlights). If we can somehow wire it to that option, then it might be okay

I'm guessing that these would need to be connected to the headlight switch, whenever the headlights are on in DRL mode or at night, the LEDs go on. I'm not so worried about dimming of the LEDs... if they're on, I'm happy!

Speaking of the LED DRLs and foglights, I'd really like to have an authoritative answer as to the whereabouts of the fog lights on a 2011 C equipped with the bi-x lighting package. The information I've received to date is conflicting. On the one hand I've been told that the LED DRLs eliminate the fogs, and alternatively, I've been told the fogs have been moved somewhere within the upper headlight assembly (which doesn't make sense). I think fogs serve a worthwhile purpose. As well, it seems that if, in fact, the fogs are history, the corner illuminating function is also gone. My dealership can't give me a straight answer, MBUSA product support can't give me a straight answer...seems it's a mystery.

I'm not happy that the fogs aren't on their own switch. I like to use Auto mode for my headlights but would like to be able to turn on fogs if I wish separately.

Is there no way to get the fogs to come on in Auto mode?

P.S. that would solve the LED DRL retrofit issue for me if that functionality existed.

I think the fogs have been eliminated. The bixenons now feature active curve illumination so there is no need for cornering fogs.

Hah, compare the 2011 to a 2008. The difference for me is $3,700.

Sure, a few features have been added since 2008, such as memory seats, but a few features have been removed, too, such as power folding side mirrors.

Yes. With the creation of the Lighting Package and the elimination of Package 2, the non-lighting features of the old P2 were added to Package 1 for the C300. The C350 includes all the Package 1 features as standard equipment, so things like the fold-down rear seats and the power rear sunshade are now included on the C350 rather than optional.

Actually, you can still get the AAC/DHP on the 2011 C-Class. However, I was informed by a local dealership that it is now a "Special Order" option. I'm assuming that it means that you need to have a car built for you if you want to have AAC/DHP (i.e. you can't just go onto a dealership lot and find it?).

Here's a link someone posted of C350s apparently sitting in port which shows that at least the first one has the "Dynamic Handling Package: (Special O $1,530"
https://mbworld.org/forums/4163204-post10.html

Maybe they aren't letting people configure the AAC/DHP on the MBUSA site because they don't want people thinking that you can find that option sitting on the lot of your local dealership?

This would make sense....BMW has some "Priority One" options which are basically interior colors that don't show up on the website but can be special ordered.

I saw two 2011's at the dealership today. The sport looks better than I had imagined- love the LEDs and new headlights. The luxury is identical to the 2010.

Were you able to get some pictures? I'd love to see some real pictures, especially of the sport model with the LEDs and new headlights.

No pics yet- I was in my car in the middle of a downpour when I spotted them on a side lot.

Fogs have been eliminated. The headlight switch now just has Auto and On and it doesn't pull out for fog lights at all. There isn't even an off, just auto and on. There is a separate button for rear fog light.

Jon3sh, I dont think that is what they look like. That is a speculation based on the new S class, with LED turn signals. I think the new headlights arent so much new, but are painted inside like the C63. They share the same structure as the 08-10

Ummm...dealers order whatever they think is going to sell on their lots. When you "special order" a car like I did, the dealer just orders and you buy it off the dealer. There is really nothing special about it.

My point wasn't that there's anything "special" about it... I was just clarifying that you CAN still get the AAC/DHP option on the 2011 C-Class, which was what lkevinl was asking about:

When you "special order" a [2011] car like I did, as you stated, the dealer just ordered it with the options I asked for and I can buy it off the dealer when it arrives.

Whether it's actually "special" or not, two things are still true:
1) you CAN get the AAC/DHP option on the 2011 C-Class (at least on the C350, I don't know about the C300)
2) the MBUSA site currently doesn't let us configure a 2011 C-Class with the AAC/DHP option (and we can continue to speculate as to why)

Could be because the option isn't offered in the US anymore. It has always been an option in other markets and dealers would not allow you to order in the US even if you knew the option code to "write-in" on the order form.

But I'm telling you that the option IS available in the US (as a "Special Order" option - whether you believe it's "special" or not!). =)

I'm located in CA and my dealer configured a 2011 C350 WITH AAC/DHP which is on its way hopefully next month...

From jman350's post about 2011 C350s in port (which I assumed to be in the US based on the $875 Destination & Delivery), one of the cars includes the following package:

315 315 Dynamic Handling Package: (Special O $1,530
213 : Parameter Steering
428 : Steering Wheel Shift Paddles
483 : Advanced Agility Package
786 : 18" AMG 5-twin-spoke Wheel

I guess we'll find out soon enough when the 2011s start arriving en masse. =)
