Hooded guages on a 2008 C? (importing to Canada)

I am moving back to Toronto, and will be driving my car back and will be importing it into Canada.
After contacting MBUSA, MB-Canada, and vehicle customs, it looks like I need to change my guages to metric to keep it in Canada -- luckily there are no other significant modifications needed.

Since the guages would need to be replaced to metric I was thinking if it was possible to change to the newer hooded guages on my 2008 C-sport? Do you think I would have issues from the dealership performing the work?

Be careful. The latest gauge panel has some functions that the 2008 doesn't and there might be a version conflict.

Get some expert advice, possibly from the local MB factory rep.

You mean the gauges on the 2009 and the 2008 C-Class differ more then the color of the arrows (white instead of orange?)

He has a 2008. I'm assuming the gauge pod comes as an assembly and not piece by piece and that he wants the 2010 version. Maybe not.

Regardless, anything electronic is version coded AND country coded so my advice stands. Ask someone who knows for certain what the car can accept, electronically.
