not only that but they are looking for specifics like do you have any family in automotive industry dealer or marketing than do you plan to own a luxury car in the future I said NO becuase Im going to drive a sports car. I honestly dont get what they are trying to figure out but its def not for me!

I'd encourage you all to join this as it's been pretty sweet deal for me. Not only do you get to talk to high ranking officials at MBUSA, you get some pretty good nuggets of information there and they send you tons of free stuff and event tickets. I've already gotten an MB watch, MB USB stick, tons of gift cards, auto show tickets, invites to MB R&D plant, etc. Even gave me a new CLS 550 to drive around for a week in exchange for writing a review.

The best was when I got to talk to a VP at MBUSA and told him about how the dealership threatened me for giving them less than perfect responses on the survey. He asked me for details and info and said he'd personally take care of it. The next day, I got a call back from the dealership offering appology (through grinding teeth I'm sure lol) and offered complementary car wash for 3 months. Obviously I'd never let them touch the paint of my car, but made my day.

For those confused by research screening, the MB goal is to have as bias-free a population as possible. The fact that you have any association with the auto industry is a negative, as you bring additional information and points of view not representative of the general market which is not involved in the auto industry in any way, shape, or form. Those are the opinions they are seeking, so they turn you down in search of more generally representative respondents.

Wouldn't you have like to been a fly on that wall. lol
Wonder how many others they've threatened. Bet it has something to do with remaining a MB dealership and they jepordized that relationship.
