Washer fluid

I just bought a new C300 yesterday. I found there's no washer fluid in the new car. Where should I buy it and how much does it cost me?

The dealer should have filled the tank during the pre-delivery inspection. Go back and have them do it.

If they don't fill it up for you, upgrade your washer fluid like I did to 1Z Einszett Kristall Klar.

In the manual, only MB washer fluid is recommended. Is it OK to use other brand?

I would go back to the dealership and have the fill it and check for leaks as it should have been filled and may have leaked out.

Sorry guys. I realized it was a joke. I drove my car to the dealership. When a gentleman showed me how to use it... I realized that's because I pressed the leverage too way gently so the washer fluid didn't come out...

Yes, I just wouldn't use the cheapo brands from walmart. The 1Z is a better product and does a better job than oem washer fluid.

How does 1Z do in the cold? Hate to have it freeze up on me in the wintertime. I am curreently using Rain-X and have been happy so far.

Living in California, obviously don't have the freezing conditions you have, but I hear german winters are pretty harsh and this was developed in Germany for European makes, if that means anything at all lol.

You can always add their Anti-Frost fluid into the mix for winters.

Red face Ignorance

I bought my 2009 320Cdi before the rainy season about 5 months ago. last week after the first rain I tried using my widshield washers, and eventually gave up after the wipers were running across a dry and dirty windscreen.
Thanks to this forum, I found two cases whith feedback that the stalk has two positions: press lightly, and just the wipers come on. You need to press much harder to get a positive 'click' on the wiper stalk to get the washers to work.
Thanks guys - even silly feedback makes a difference - I nearly stripped the whole system to pieces!

I don't know about MB but when I had a BMW the manufacturers screenwash reacted with a supermarket one, Prestone, I think causing it to coagulate and block the reservoir pump filter.
