Suspension toggle missing?
He told me that during the test drive, the salesman told him that the car had a button to switch between sport and comfort suspension modes, next to the gearstick:
After using the car for a while, he found that the two purported "suspension modes" weren't different at all. Flipping through the brochure I found out that the salesman was mistaken, and that that button only changes the way the car shifts. The button my dad needs only comes on the higher models:
Had my dad known this, he would have opted to get the C300 instead of the C250. The ability to switch between suspensions was something that swayed him away from buying the Lexus IS and towards the Mercedes.
What are my dad's options here? Is it too late since he already signed the lease?

My C230 2.5L has that option, but if you looking to lower your car or do anything to the suspension in the future, you probably dont want it, I just got myself eibach springs and i probably have to stick with original shocks for the rest of the car's life, but its always fun to know you have the option to go soft or hard :P the ride change is significant
The reason I would take this approach is that there may be various internal programs for entering vehicles in demo service, rewards for volume, or other mechanisms which may allow the Sales Manager to make this easier. I would not offer to pay an early termination penalty. If the Sales Manager is resistant, I'd even take it to MBC before giving in to a typical process. Certainly, most SMs will see this somehow as an opportunity to move another unit.
One last thought.....Eibach antisway bars provide a great compromise of significantly improving the handling, while not noticeably deteriorating the ride they way stiffer/lower springs do. It doesn't provide the continuous choice, but it creates an excellent overall chassis balance, probably better than either of the OE "choices".
