Panoramic Sunroof Question
Hey guys, had a quick question. I guess I never really looked up at the shade on the panoramic roof on the car we just bought but it seems like the front one has a slight gap where the shade comes towards the front. Is that a normal thing or is it supposed to go all the way?
Maybe it's the angle Im looking at it but i wasn't able to push it any farther so it seems like that is where it's supposed to stop.
Am I just paranoid or what. I added a picture from my iphone but it's a bit bad. It's also sort of at an angle.
Thanks

Mine has a slight gap, not like yours. i went to the dealer. They reset it and the small gap is still there.

Mine had a small gap too. The other issue I noticed is that when the shade retracted, there was about a half inch left to retract. It kind of stuck there for about 30 seconds than kind of sucked itself into the repository.
The dealer replaced the sunshade to correct both issues. The gap is fine now. The other issue has resurfaced. I'm not sure if I'd take it back again since it seems to come back.
Now, when closing the sunroof from just the vent position it sounds as if there is something in the way (I looked and found no foreign debris) but makes a "thunk" noise and seems to hang up on something before shutting down. I'll wait until the weather improves to take it in for this one.

There was a thread about this 1 to 2 years ago. I did a quick search but couldn't find it. There are two pieces of metal on the track to set the stop position of the shade. Open the shade half way and gently pull the shade forward so that it is even with the metal piece on each side. I did this when I purchased my car a year and a half ago and it has never moved back.
I circled the pieces on the picture.

I'm having the same issue on my C250. The gap never really bothered me, it's just whenever I have the shade closed and the windows open the fabric isn't taut and will flap and make an annoying noise when the wind gets under it. I tried to pull the shade up to meet the stopping piece as suggested in a previous post but as soon as I retracted it again it just went back to the same position. Taking it to the dealership soon.
