Low beam headlight warning came on today
Well as I'm driving along and the rain starts, coincidence, I get a warning on the dash to check my left low beam headlight, when I pull over after awhile, sure enough, the left low beam headlight is not on.![EEK!](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/eek.gif)
So I read the owners handbook and it shows how to change the headlight bulb, H7, 55w and of course on the left side, its a bit tighter than the passenger side, but I got a replacement and installed it, but then I went back into the auto parts store and purchased the Sylvania Silverstar Ultra, bought a pair and installed them. A lot brighter and easier to see the road, I don't normally use my driving lights or high beams.
Sylvania claims 50% brighter and 40% more down-road visibility with the Silverstar Ultra Light Bulb.![nix](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/nixweiss.gif)
Guess I see if there is any difference or improvement when I leave at 0 dark thirty in the morning (6:00am), its dark and about 15 minutes before sunrise.![Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif)
Sure hope they were worth the money, I paid $45.00 for the pair.
Anyone else use them as a replacement option, and if so, what is your opinion?

I just read on the Sylvania website that the C300 high beam is also an H7 bulb, can someone verify that please, if so maybe its smart for me to purchase a matching set of Sylvania Silverstar Ultra for the highbeams, what do you think?
I rarely use the highbeams, but I guess for appearance sake it would be nice to have them match?
Opinions appreciated.

yes high beam is H7 same voltage too
but u dont want it to be too white as they reflect from fogs and rain drops, that is in the situation where visibility is a problem
IMHO just keep it, cos if you swap them into white or blue lights u can sort of see the bulb from the front in blueish color, not to my taste but i have changed to philips crystal vision on my high beam :P
