I wan unaware that they had different sized monitors?

To my knowledge (not positive) the command system and the screen are two different components and are only connected through one cable from the screen into the rear. My guess is that you could replace the screen with a new 7" one as long as the connector is the same?

But like I said, this is just speculation and common sense. If there is one thing I have learned with Mercedes Benz, its to expect the unexpected. Perhaps asking MBUSA or a service advisor if its possible and what would be needed is a good start. (I just wouldn't have them do it if its not complicated as they will bang you over the head with the price).

i believe he's talking about switching up from a standard screen to the pop up MM screen.

you can read more about that here: https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...m-writeup.html

He changed the screens only and remained the original sucky MM player, and used aftermarket players for the screen

Of course nothing prevents you from doing it but it would not work the way you are expecting. They have a different number of pixels to start with.
